Dr. Vershalee Shukla
Board-certified Radiation Oncologist
A practicing radiation oncologist in Phoenix and Scottsdale for over 11 years, Dr. Vershalee Shukla is a prolific author and researcher, a strong patient advocate, and a passionate oncologist. Her interest in first responder cancer care led her to co-found the successful cancer screening program we have today, with her personal work in the field contributing immensely to better diagnostics and treatment for firefighters. Dr. Shukla oversees cancer diagnostics personally to ensure the accuracy of treatment protocols and to foster strong relationships between patients and their physicians.

Dr. Pablo Prichard is a leading cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon, specializing in breast reconstruction and breast enhancement surgeries. A distinguished speaker and educator, Dr. Prichard has shared his knowledge and expertise at professional conferences and on the national stage. As co-founder of Vincere Cancer Center, Dr. Prichard utilizes his artistic vision and surgical prowess to guide the center in providing cutting-edge surgical techniques and post-treatment reconstruction to improve patients’ quality of life.

The Philips Ingenia 3.0T Elition X MRI is a high-field 3 Tesla MRI machine designed for advanced clinical research and diagnosis. This MRI features a wide bore size (e.g., 70 cm), digital signal architecture (dStream), and AI-powered features for faster exams and high-quality images in various clinical applications like cancer screening, neuro, cardiac, and musculoskeletal imaging.
Akesis Galaxy® RTi
The Akesis Galaxy® RTi is a rotating gamma system that combines the proven efficacy of gamma radiation with state-of-the-art rotational technology to optimize treatment planning and delivery. The system’s dynamic, rotational delivery provides more coverage and the ability to shape the dose distribution, unlike traditional fixed sector-based delivery.
Quantitative Transmission Ultrasound
The Quantitative Transmission (QT) Ultrasound system is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared breast imaging tool that utilizes transmission ultrasound and reflection ultrasound to provide the most accurate assessment of breast health when combined with regular mammograms. The QT system is an exciting addition we can now offer patients, as it provides a more comprehensive assessment for patients who may need additional diagnostics for breast health.

At Vincere Cancer Center, our research labs combine advanced technologies and innovative approaches to bring the latest scientific discoveries into patient care. Vincere Labs is at the forefront of developing early cancer diagnostics based on liquid biopsies. By detecting molecular signals in blood, our research aims to identify cancer at its earliest stages.

The Vincere Foundation
Today, the Vincere Foundation continues this mission of expanding the program on a national scale, providing this essential service to our nation’s heroes.
First Responder Cancer Screening
The Vincere Foundation was founded in 2018 in response to a direct need for cancer care, specifically for first responders. First responders, firefighters specifically, are inordinately susceptible to cancer, as their line of work exposes them to more carcinogens than other professions. Dr. Shukla worked with local fire departments to create a program that best serves this community, and the Vincere Foundation has now successfully implemented a first responder screening program that has resulted in quicker diagnoses, higher cure rates, and immense satisfaction and peace of mind among first responders and firefighters.
